Arri Tripod Setup

Looking back at this DSLR kit, we really liked what Arri had to offer and basically we think its DSLR ready. Arri keeps their reputation intact. Only the matte box was a concern. It works of course, but it isn’t exactly a part that could be called “dedicated to DSLR”. Apart from the unnecessary matte box size, it’s quite perfect as a tripod rig. The follow focus is unmatched.

This rig is obviously aimed at hardcore professionals, and we would recommend it for working pros. If you are looking for long lasting equipment you can rely on, for those who can’t lose a second on set for fiddling with screws, or a stuck follow focus. This gear really let’s you focus on the job. We wish we could say the same about some of the cheaper rigs we tested.
