SWIT Launch a Complete Range of Tripods and Fluid Heads

SWIT has launched a range of new tripods from portable travel models to high-end carbon fiber ones. There are five SWIT tripods in total, two for the videographers and photographers on the move and three Studio models offering up to 15kg loads.

All the tripods come with fluid heads, although there are options to choose different fluid models from. Most of the range is made of tubular aluminum but two have a carbon fiber construction.

SWIT MUF50

At the bottom of the range is the MUF50 lightweight travel tripod with its own TH50 fluid head offering up to 5kg loads. The MUF50 is ideal for DSLR or mirrorless cameras for either photography or videography. It has an adjustable height from 43cm to 149cm. The price is €199.

Its fluid head gives you a 360˚ pan with -75˚ – +90˚ tilt angle motion. The head provides continuously smoother tilt movements and the counterbalance force is dynamic to the load on the head. You have a low-angle shooting option on the center column, an adjustable lock on the legs, and anti-pinch designed buckles on the retractable feet.

SWIT MUF100C

The next new model is the MUF100C, the C stands for carbon fiber, which is an 8-layer tubular construction. It’s only 4.36kg in weight which SWIT claim is 15% less than a tripod made completely of aluminum alloy. The price is €469.

The tripod comes with a 10kg load TH100 fluid head to allow a smooth 360° pan, -75°– +90° tilt angle motion, with 1/4” and 3/8” screw bolts. The tripod head is 75mm bowl diameter but you can also disassemble the 75mm transfer plate to fit 100mm diameter heads.

If you release the leg buckles you can get some great leg angles from 25˚, 50˚, and 75˚. The highest angle gives you a great low-angle shot.

SWIT Tower 100

The Tower 100 is a lightweight studio tripod – 4kg – with a 10kg load TH100A fluid head for smooth 360° pan, -75°–+90° tilt angle motion, with 1/4” and 3/8” screw bolts. A quick-release plate is installed and released from the side, and securely fixed by tapered edges on the base plate. The price is €229.

The TOWER100 tripod has a 65mm bowl to fit the head firmly and the legs are covered by non-slip sponges and anti-pinch buckles for easier locking and unlocking. An aluminum alloy mid spreader helps to strengthen the stability.

SWIT Tower 150

The Tower 150 is another studio support but able to offer a 15kg load and height from 50–170cm. The model comes with a fluid head, pan damping, and tilt damping adjustment, and 1/4” and 3/8” screw bolts. The price is €329.

The leg sections are linked by a connecting rod. You can release and lock the sections together with only one buckle, for quick height adjustment. There is a ground stretcher to strengthen the stability, and the horseshoe feet will fit for a wheelbase as well. This will give you a stable 50cm low-angle shooting position.

SWIT Tower 150C

The Tower 150C is the top of the new range and offers similar features to the Tower 150 but adds a carbon fiber build – coming in at 5.1kg. The rest of the specs are the same. The price is €499.
