The new NANLITE Forza 60C is a compact and portable RGBLAC wide-gamut spotlight. It offers a maximum brightness of 12,810 lux at 1 meter, an extremely wide color temperature range (1,800-20,000K), FM and Bowens-mount compatibility as well as multiple power and control options.

To celebrate their 30th birthday, NANLITE is back with a fresh announcement. The company has been celebrating since the beginning of the year by releasing a series of new lighting products. These include the PavoBulb 10C, PavoTube T8-7X, and the recently-introduced Forza 720 and 720B.

The latter are NANLITE’s brightest fixtures to date. Now the company is expanding its Forza spotlight series on the other side of the intensity spectrum. So please welcome the NANLITE Forza 60C. Let’s take a closer look at this tiny new family member.

NANLITE Forza 60C: features

The new NANLITE Forza 60C is a full-color LED spotlight that relies on RGBLAC (Red/Green/Blue/Lime/Amber/Cyan) six-color technology. According to the manufacturer, this new scheme should offer a more consistent output across different colors as well as a more complete spectrum compared to existing RGB, RGBW, and RGBWW fixtures. 

The Forza 60C scores CRI 96 and TLCI 95 ratings. Its six-color system enables it to achieve quite an impressive color temperature range that goes from 1,800 up to 20,000K! The light is 100% dimmable, offers ±100 green/magenta adjustments, and supports HSI/RGBW/XY operating modes.

NANLITE claims this tiny fixture can output up to 12,810 lux at a distance of 1 meter (5,600K) when using the included reflector. Surprisingly, this value makes the new Forza 60C less powerful than the more affordable 60B model, although the latter has a limited CCT range (2,700-6,500K).

The 60C features a native FM mount for accessories, but it also comes with a Bowens-style mount adapter to ensure compatibility with a wider range of light-shaping tools to achieve either hard or soft qualities of light.

Design, power and control

The Forza 60C is designed to be lightweight and portable. The lamp head only weighs 1.08kg, measures 224x110x88mm in size, and can easily fit in one hand. The light comes with an L-shaped yoke which is compatible with an included battery grip for hands and cable-free operation.

Coming to firing up the light, the Forza 60C can draw juice via a 15V DC IN socket placed on the backside of the unit as well as external NP-F style or V-lock batteries. The good news is that relying on battery power doesn’t affect the maximum brightness of this fixture, thus ensuring a good output even on the go.

Users can choose between different methods for controlling the light. Indeed, fundamental settings can be accessed via the onboard dials or 2.4Ghz Wi-fi connectivity, while more precise control can be achieved using the NANLINK smartphone app (available for both iOS and Android) or DMX/RDM control.

Finally, the unit is equipped with an intelligent heat dissipation system. Indeed, the speed of the cooling fan automatically adjusts depending on the temperature of the operating environment while still keeping noise levels to a minimum (approximately 20dB).

The official retail price of the new NANLITE Forza 60C is $699. In the included carrying case you will find the lamp head, protection cap, yoke, reflector, power cord, Bowen-mount adapter, and battery grip.
