Cineroid’s Smart AA Battery Charger on Indiegogo for $39

We all know Cineroid as a leading EVF and LED light manufacturer, but as we’ve seen earlier today in our crowded filmmaking industry it is a good idea to come up with different inventions to capture the attention of a broader audience. That’s where “Eneroid”, a new smart AA battery charger from Cineroid enters the picture. In their Indiegogo Campaign, they are trying to capture our attention with a refreshing approach to charging batteries.

Most, if not all of us are still using AA batteries to power some of the equipment we use during our daily shooting routine. I’m not sure about you guys, but whenever I’m looking for my rechargeable batteries, I always end up with either empty ones or I simply can’t find them.

Eneroid is a device that is supposed to solve it all. Throw up to 20 rechargeable batteries into the top of the smart AA battery charger without even worrying about polarity, push one button and 4 batteries will slide into the charging slot, charging them rapidly within an hour. The charged batteries will make their way to the storage container located at the bottom of the charging tower.

What do you think? Can a charging device like this make our life a bit easier or are the days of heavy usage of AA batteries already behind us? In any case, if it works reliably, then for $39 this device might be a no-brainer for many of us.
