Zack Mctee shot this video with a JAG35 handheld rig and a Canon 5D Mark II in NYC traffic. I grew up in New York and I can say first hand that it took some big stones to shoot this video. Here is a rip from the emil I received.
“After some conversation with my pals from Jag35 I agreed to get rid of all the blue in my kit and replace it with orange. When the new offset shoulder rig showed up I had to go test it out.
I decided to steer away from the typical tests that consist of shallow DOF flower shots and video portraits. Instead, I grabbed my skateboard and put a shoulder rig to the ultimate test of bumpy movement and sketchy situations. Skateboarding is what got me into filmmaking and it’s always fun to get back on the board with a camera and make something interesting.
I shot it using the Canon 5D Mark II attached to a jag35 offset shoulder rig. The whole thing was shot on the Canon 16-35mm f2.8 lens.”
