Accsoon CineView Master 4K Wireless Video Transmitter – First Look

September 20th, 2024 Jump to Comment Section 3

Accsoon CineView Master 4K is a new, powerful wireless video transmission kit that can send up to a 4K 60fps video signal with a low latency of 35ms and a distance of up to 2.5km/1.55 miles. In 1080p, the latency further reduces to around 25ms. The device features HDMI, 3G-SDI, and USB-C connections, a tri-band design with six antennas, a built-in fan, and more. Available by the end of September, CineView Master 4K will sell for $849 (TX+RX kit).

The Chinese camera accessory manufacturer Accsoon has been specializing in the field of wireless video transmission for quite a few years now and we have seen various models in different price categories. Earlier this year, during the NAB show, we looked at the CineView 2 SDI transmission system, for instance.

At this year’s IBC show, together with Nissy Cai from Accsoon, we checked one of the company’s most capable wireless transmitters – the new CineView Master 4K. Let’s take a quick first look at its features and specs.

Accsoon CineView Master 4K

One of the most notable features of the new CineView Master 4K is the ability to send a true 4K video signal with up to 60fps wirelessly. It supports one wired connection and four wireless connections, so there can be a total of five devices for monitoring.

The 4K signal is being handled by the CineView’s HDMI ports. There is also 3G-SDI, but that is limited to a 1080p resolution. The transmitter (TX) unit has an HDMI in, HDMI loop out, one SDI port, and a USB-C output. The receiver (RX) unit features HDMI out and SDI out.

The maximum range is around 2.5km/1.5 miles (unobstructed line of sight), according to Accsoon. This is thanks to the new, more powerful processor and Accsoon’s RTMS 4.0 video transmission protocol. As Nissy told us, the CineView Master 4K has a latency of approximately 25ms when transmitting 1080p and around 35ms when transmitting 4K.

In addition to HDMI and 3G-SDI, the device now features a USB-C video output port, too. This enables the integration of a SeeMo 4K into the system and the use of an iPhone or iPad for image monitoring. Through this port, CineView Master 4K can also provide power for the connected device.

Another new innovation is the addition of the third pair of antennas that cover the third bandwidth of 6GHz. Therefore, the CineView Master 4K is a tri-band wireless transmitter (2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz) with a total of 5 antennas. Accsoon claims this adds signal stability and security to the wireless video stream.

The device has a built-in fan for active cooling as the powerful hardware produces heat. This has three settings, including one which stops the fan altogether when working in a noise-sensitive environment. The power draw is around 6.5W.
