Ambient’s QuickPole Slim Released – A Lighter Version of the Series 5 Boom Pole

Ambient have added a new QuickPole ‘slim’ version to their popular QuickPole 5 series of boom poles. As with all other boom poles in this series, the QuickPole Slim is composed of a custom-made carbon fiber compound, but in answer to feedback from customers who favored the 4-segments in their QS line, one segment has been removed from the QuickPole Slim, making it both lighter and thinner. Let’s have a look.

QuickPole Series 5 specs

The Series 5 is the fifth generation in Ambient’s ‘tube technology’, catering to industry professionals who need a lightweight and portable boom pole. These boom poles comprise a custom-made, carbon fiber compound with an added UHM fiber layer. The result is that Series 5 boom poles are now stronger than the QP Series and lighter than the QXS Series, effectively consolidating the strengths of both Series into a single boom pole.

Another key feature of the Series 5 is the Teflon sheet with a proprietary silicone lubricant added to the felt, allowing for easy extension and retraction of the boom pole. As for locking, a simple quarter turn secures the boom pole, completely preventing lateral twisting. The extended handle sleeves, featuring a ribbed surface, not only provide a secure grip but also ensure stability during use.

The QuickPole Slim’s difference

The QuickPro Slim has all the great features of the other boom poles in the Series 5 collection, but it’s even lighter.

• Thinner Diameter (30mm instead of 34mm)
• Lighter – one segment has been removed

The QuickPole Slim is available in two lengths, which include the rubber buffer and tip.

• QuickPole Slim Short: Extends from 39.37″/100cm to 129.29″/330cm (weight: 19.40oz/550g)
• QuickPole Slim Long: Extends from 61.02″/155cm to 203.93″/518cm (weight: 19.40oz/835g)

The Ambient Series 5 QuickPole Slim is available now and can be ordered directly on the Ambient website. Prices start at €540 Euro plus VAT, and delivery time is 5-8 workdays.
