ASUS ProArt Monitors, a MicroLED Display, and a Display Calibrator Explained

April 14th, 2025 Jump to Comment Section

At NAB 2025, Johnnie took the opportunity to speak with Camila Huang from ASUS about four of their new products – two monitors, a microLED display wall, and a ProArt calibrator. Let’s have a look at their newest products!

Only recently, we looked at a couple of monitors – the ASUS ProArt OLED PA32UCDM for creators and the ProArt Display PA32KCX mini LED monitor. At NAB, we’re getting a look at ASUS’s latest offerings: two additional monitors, a new calibrator, and a massive 162-inch 4K HDR micro-LED display.

ProArt Cinema PQ09 MicroLED Display Wall

Camila described the ProArt Cinema PQ09, a 162-inch 4K HDR microLED display with a 0.93mm pixel pitch, noting that it’s slightly larger than the version they exhibited last year. It offers high brightness (1200nits peak), a high 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and a 97% DCI-P3 color gamut. Johnnie seemed genuinely impressed, particularly with how smooth the image looked at that scale. Depending on the price, I imagine it could be used as a home cinema as well as in professional environments.

Camila introduced the ProArt Display 6K PA32QCV, a 32-inch monitor with a resolution of 6016 x 3384 at 216 pixels per inch. As she explained to Johnnie, the 6K resolution allows you to view 4K content full-screen while keeping additional space available on the side for editing tools or other windows. It features two Thunderbolt™ 4 ports with 96-watt Power Delivery and daisy-chain support for data transfer.

According to ASUS’s press materials, the PA32QCV offers around 145% more onscreen workspace compared to a 4K monitor of the same size. It’s listed as covering 98% of DCI-P3 and 100% of sRGB and is expected to meet the VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification.

When asked about the target audience, Camila said it would benefit editors and those working in color grading. She also noted that the monitor will work with their upcoming ProArt calibrator. ASUS is considering selling the display and calibrator together, but pricing and availability have not yet been finalized.

The ProArt Display PA16USV is a 15.6-inch 4K monitor with a pixel density of 282 ppi and 12G-SDI support. Camila showed Johnnie the adjustable stand and mentioned that the monitor includes two tripod sockets and VESA mount compatibility, making it suitable for on-the-go and on-set setups.

Camila explained the ProArt CaliContrO MCA02 to Johnnie, saying it is a three-in-one calibrator ASUS plans to release soon. It works with their in-house calibration software and connects directly to compatible ProArt monitors, giving you quick access to the on-screen display for making adjustments. The built-in ASUS dial isn’t just for calibration – it can also be used for creative shortcuts in apps like Adobe or other custom controls you might set up (like controlling your OSD menu, for example). The interface itself can be tailored to fit the way you work. Camila mentioned they may offer it bundled with the new 6K monitor, but pricing and release timing are still to be announced – possibly next month.

Price and availability

None of the new products here currently have a price, but Camila said information should be available next month, with any luck. We will keep you posted!
