Back at NAB 2022, the Australian company launched their first ever network-connected devices, the Atomos CONNECT module for NINJA V/V+ and the SHOGUN CONNECT. Shortly after, the affordable ZATO CONNECT HDMI streaming monitor joined this family of cloud-connected devices.

At the show, the company also provided a sneak peek of Cloud Studio, their complete suite of video production tools for real-time collaboration and streaming. The service has now officially launched, while the new hardware is ready to ship. Let’s take a closer look.

Atomos Cloud Studio now available

Atomos Cloud Studio consists of a series cloud-based tools grouped into three main services. The first one to become available is Atomos Stream, which will soon be followed by Atomos Capture to Cloud. Additionally, Atomos Live Production, which is a virtual control room for live video and multi-camera shoots, will launch in September.

Atomos Stream allows users to exploit their CONNECT module, ZATO CONNECT, or SHOGUN CONNECT to stream directly to some of the most popular platforms, including YouTube, and Twitch. According to the company, Facebook Live will join the list very soon. Currently, the service only enables delivery to a single platform. However, Atomos announced that they will soon launch a “premium” service to support multiple platforms simultaneously.

Moreover, the Atomos CONNECT and SHOGUN CONNECT will receive a firmware update shortly to enable integration with frame.io‘s Camera-to-Cloud (C2C) technology. This will grant editors and remote collaborators immediate access to the footage that’s being captured on set using the network-connected devices.
