Bebob B480CINE Introduced – 475Wh Dual-Voltage B-Mount Battery

bebob has just introduced their most powerful B-mount battery brick to date, the B480CINE. It features a high-capacity of 475Wh, has a dual-voltage design (14.4V/28.8V) and supports a continuous power draw of 450W. It is now available to order for €1,049.

Developed jointly by bebob and ARRI, the B-Mount battery standard is designed for power-hungry film equipment, such as ARRI’s ALEXA 35 or RED’s V-RAPTOR XL. Over the last few years, many companies started producing B-Mount batteries and accessories. Just to name a few, the list includes SWIT, Core SWX, Anton Bauer, FXLION, Hawk-Woods, and, of course, bebob. The German manufacturer’s B-Mount battery lineup already includes four models with capacities ranging from 86 up to 285Wh. These are now joined by the even more powerful B480CINE. bebob B480CINE – high-capacity B-Mount battery

The new bebob B480CINE is a B-Mount Lithium-ion battery with an impressively high capacity of 475Wh. The battery comes with dual-voltage capabilities (14.4/28.8V), meaning that it can be used to power both 12V and 24V systems on set. It can provide a continuous power output of 450W and supports a maximum load capacity of 20A (continuous current).

According to the manufacturer, a single B480CINE can power an ARRI SkyPanel S30-C for about two and a half hours, while two bricks can keep an Aputure 600D Pro running for approximately 90 minutes. However, keep in mind that it takes roughly 10 hours to fully charge a B480CINE using a charger with a 5A/16.8V output.

The battery is pretty beefy, measuring 94x144x115mm and weighing about 2.4kg. Its simple design includes a side 5-stage status LED to display the remaining charge as well as a twist D-Tap (13.2V/2.5A) and USB (5V/1A) port at the top.

Another selling point of bebob B-Mount batteries is that they are fully serviceable. As a result, if the battery’s performance drops over time, the cells can be replaced, and the same concept applies to most of the mechanical components.

Price and availability

The new bebob B480CINE high-capacity B-Mount battery is now available to purchase from the manufacturer’s website and authorized dealers. Its official retail price is set at €1,049.

The battery comes with a 2-year warranty on all mechanical and electronic components as well as on 80% of the original cell capacity.
