Bebob Coco-Double Dual B-Mount Power Adapter for LED Lights and Cameras Released

German battery manufacturer bebob has just released a new B-Mount power adapter to power LED lights and cameras for extended periods: the Coco-Double. This power adapter allows you to use two B-Mount batteries to power 48V LED lights with a 10-pin XLR cable, but it can also be used with power-hungry cameras by using a 3-pin XLR cable and running it at 24V for hours. So, let’s take a closer look at it!

Launched in 2019 and co-developed by ARRI and bebob, the B-Mount battery standard supports 14.4V and 28.8V voltages, which means you can use them to power 12V and 24V accessories, LED lights, and cameras. After the recent release of the bebob B480CINE 475Wh B-Mount battery and the hot-swappable B90cineML and B155cineML batteries, the company is back with a new dual-battery power adapter: the Coco-Double.

The Coco-Double has a maximum continuous power output of up to 700W, so you can use it to power 650W LED lights. For example, according to bebob, if you use two B480cine batteries, you can power a Creamsource Vortex8 or ARRI Skypanel X21 for 1.5 hours at maximum power, an ARRI Orbiter can be powered for 1 hour and 50 minutes, and 2 hours and 20 minutes for an ARRI Skypanel S60-C/S-120C, which is impressive.

If you want to power a camera with the Coco-Double, the 24V 3-pin XLR power output can run a 100W camera, such as the ARRI ALEXA 35, for close to 9.5 hours using two B480cine batteries.

The Coco-Double comes with a removable handle, but you can also mount it to a light via the Super Clamp Pin Mount. In the box, you’ll also find a Rail Mount designed for use with ARRI Skypanels.

Price and availability

The bebob Coco-Double is available now for $1,149/€998.
