Bright Tangerine has recently released a few new accessories for its KASBAH shoulder support system, including rosette extension spacers and a grip arm extension. These accessories feature an ARRI standard rosette with M6 threads and are designed to make handheld shooting more comfortable and ergonomic. So, let’s take a closer look at these!

Last year, Bright Tangerine introduced the KASBAH shoulder support system, which consists of a shoulder pad, handgrips, and bridges to attach the handles.

While this system is compatible with the company’s LeftField 2/3 baseplates, the shoulder pad has a standard ARRI dovetail, the bridge is compatible with 15/19mm rods, and the handgrips have standard ARRI rosettes.

The nice thing about the Bright Tangerine KASBAH system is the unique Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) material they use, making it highly comfortable, lightweight, and breathable. I personally have the shoulder pad and can’t stress enough how well-built and comfortable it is.

If you use the KASBAH grips and bridge, the British company is now back with a couple of new accessories to make your daily life on set more comfortable and personalized, thanks to a grip arm extension and some rosette extension spacers.

Bright Tangerine KASBAH Grip Arm Extension – features

Let’s start with the KASBAH grip arm extension that adds 2.5″/65mm to the position of your handgrip. This grip arm extension has a symmetrical design, which means you can use it on both sides of your baseplate/bridge.

Both ends of the grip arm extension feature an ARRI standard rosette with M6 threads, and one side has a knurled knob to screw it easily, even with gloves on. Lastly, there is a 3/8″-16 mounting point with locating pins in the middle of the grip arm extension in case you need to attach an accessory to it.

The Bright Tangerine Rosette Extension Spacers are available in three sizes: 1″/25mm, 1.5″/38mm, and 2″/50mm. In a shoulder rig configuration, these spacers are designed to extend the distance between both of your hands so your arms can be straight, which improves the ergonomics of your camera rig, increases stability, and creates less fatigue.

The Bright Tangerine KASBAH Rosette Extension Spacers have ARRI rosettes with M6 threads on both sides. You’ll need a 4mm hex key to attach the spacer to your rig. Once the spacer is attached, simply screw your handgrip to the other end of the rosette.

The Bright Tangerine KASBAH grip arm extension is available now for €79/$88.11. The Bright Tangerine KASBAH Rosette Extension Spacers are available now starting at €63 for the 1″/25mm version, €69/$78.21 for the 1.5″/38mm version, and €79 for the 2″/50mm model.
