CineMatch for Final Cut Pro Now Available

FilmConvert has just announced that its camera-matching plugin CineMatch is now finally available for Final Cut Pro users. With this addition, CineMatch is now available for Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and FCP.

In 2019, we discovered a fantastic plugin for filmmakers that allows you to quickly and easily match cameras together: CineMatch. Indeed, matching various cameras with different picture profiles, color science, and settings is a time-consuming task. Furthermore, matching cameras also require some color correction skills.

The company behind CineMatch is FilmConvert, which is well-known for its FilmConvert “original” and Nitrate film simulation plugins. More than two years after its official release, CineMatch is now available for Final Cut Pro users!

CineMatch for Final Cut Pro now available

CineMatch was already available for Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Over the years, FilmConvert and CineMatch teams have been busy creating new color profiles for many different cameras. The engineers behind CineMatch precisely analyze each camera sensor to make your life easier. As a result, you can now match footage from over 50 camera makes and models.

FilmConvert Nitrate was already available for Final Cut Pro and my colleague Florian did a lovely review if you want to learn more about it. If Final Cut Pro is your NLE of choice, you’ll be pleased to know that CineMatch is now available for Apple’s software. This first iteration of the plugin is only compatible with Final Cut Pro 10.6 and higher. Final Cut Pro 10.6 is the latest version that was released a couple of days ago.

Price and availability

FilmConvert CineMatch for Final Cut Pro is available now for a special reduced price of $139.00. However, if you want to get a bundle that includes all three versions for Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and FCP, it’ll cost you $199.
