Cinetreak Stream Master and Stream Master SDI Released - All-In-One Live Streaming Solutions

Cinetreak has just released two new interesting all-in-one live streaming switchers: the Stream Master and Stream Master SDI. The main difference between both products is their connectivity, but the Stream Master features a built-in 10-inch screen, four video inputs, a Program output, two audio inputs and one audio output, an SD card, and USB-A ports to record the Program output, a USB Type-C UVC port, and a LAN connector. So, let’s take a closer look at these portable, fully featured live streaming devices!

If you have ever been hired to shoot and set up a live-streaming event, you probably know it takes a lot of gear to do so. Indeed, you need to bring the cameras, tripods, cables, audio/video wireless systems, and, of course, all of the live streaming gear, including a switcher, monitors, laptop computer, and so on.

A couple of months ago, I was hired to livestream a boxing event, and having to set up all of the live-streaming gear on a tiny desk required a bit of rigging and Lego skills. To solve situations like this, and after the release of the Cinelive C1 last year, Cinetreak has just released the Stream Master and Stream Master SDI, two very compact live streaming solutions that both feature a built-in display to make your life easier.

Cinetreak Stream Master – features

The Cinetreak Stream Master is a compact and rugged unit entirely made of aluminum that measures 250 x 206 x 63mm/9.84 x 8.11 x 2.48in for a total of 2kg/4.40 lbs. Once you flip it open, one of the first things you’ll notice is the 10-inch LCD display that has a 1920 x 1080 resolution. This built-in screen sets the Stream Master apart from most of its competitors, as you don’t have to carry extra monitoring solutions with your live streaming switcher to monitor your Program output; everything you need to get up and running is here.

Two versions of the Stream Master exist: the Stream Master and Stream Master SDI. Both versions feature four HDMI video input ports, one HDMI AUX output, and one HDMI Program output. The difference between the two, as suggested by the name, is the addition of four 3G-SDI video input ports and one 3G-SDI output port.

At the back of the units, you’ll also find:

  • Two 3.5mm audio inputs and one 3.5mm audio output.
  • One USB Type-C UVC port to connect the Stream Master to your computer and live stream.
  • One USB-A port for future firmware updates, control PTZ camera, load graphics, and record the Program output.
  • A dedicated SD card slot to record the program output.
  • One LAN port.
  • And a 12V DC input port.

In terms of features, the Stream Master offers everything you can think of, including switching between cameras, adding graphics, a built-in green screen keyer, Picture In Picture and Picture Over Picture, and so on. A nice trick under its sleeve is the ability to switch between landscape and portrait mode, which is very handy for social media applications.
