Accsoon has just released a new affordable wireless video system with HDMI and SDI ports: the Accsoon CineView Quad. This compact system has a 500ft/150m transmission range. It transmits the signal on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies simultaneously for increased signal stability, and you can even send your camera’s video feed to four iOS/Android devices simultaneously. So let’s take a closer look at it!
Chinese manufacturer Accsoon is specialized in wireless video systems for the professional and prosumer market. Like the CineEye 2S and CineEye 2S Pro, Accsoon’s wireless video transmission systems gained a solid reputation among filmmakers and rental houses worldwide.
Now the company is back with the CineView Quad, their third generation of wireless video transmitters.
Accsoon CineView Quad: features
The Accsoon CineView Quad is a compact and lightweight wireless video system, which is fanless and made of aerospace-grade aluminum.
This system has a 500ft/150m transmission range with a latency under 60ms, according to Accsoon. With high-quality audio, the input video signal is sent from the transmitter to the receiver in FullHD resolution.
In addition, the CineView Quad uses a new version of the computing platform, which comes from the CineEye series. This new platform makes the system faster, smaller, and it’s also running cooler than previous versions.
From the outside, the transmitter and receiver look nearly identical. At the front of the units, you’ll find a 1.3-inch OLED display that gives you basic information: video input, power info, and group/channel settings. The Accsoon CineView Quad can automatically select the best transmission channel and uses a 2.4GHz plus 5GHz dual-band transmission.
Accsoon CineView Quad transmits two identical copies of your camera’s video output on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies simultaneously. When these signals arrive at the RX unit, they are combined to create the final high-quality video feed. In short, it means that the Accsoon CineView Quad is less prone to interferences and more stable than ever.
Input and outputs
The CineView Quad is a pretty straightforward system, with the same input/output ports on the transmitter and receiver:
- Left side: a manual channel selector and a DC 7.4-16.8V barrel power input.
- Right side: one HDMI and SDI port.
- Back: a Sony NP-F style battery plate.
- Bottom: a 1/4″-20 mounting thread with locating pins. The system comes with a cold shoe mount in the box.
Both the CineView Quad transmitters and receivers feature four built-in foldable antennas.
Accsoon Go app
Of course, the Accsoon CineView Quad transmitter and receiver work together, but there is more. With the same CineView Quad transmitter, you can use up to four receiving devices simultaneously in any combination.
How does it work for your clients on set? First, they need to download the free Accsoon Go monitoring and live streaming app for iOS/Android devices. Then, you can transmit your camera signal to four smartphones/tablets, or one CineView Quad receiver and three mobile devices, for example.
Inside the Accsoon Go app, there are various monitoring/recording features: Focus Peaking, Histogram, False Color, viewing with 3D LUTs, and HD video recording for instant review and social media sharing.
Accsoon CineView Quad price and availability
The Accsoon CineView Quad will be available at the end of this month for $529.00.
