Freewell is a Chinese company that specializes in creating quality camera filters at a reasonable price. If you missed it, you can take a look at our review of their latest Freewell magnetic VND filter kit here.
The DJI Action 2 was released a couple of days ago, and it did not take very long for Freewell to release an entire lineup of dedicated filters for the tiny action camera.
Freewell DJI Action 2 filters – features
The Freewell DJI Action 2 filters are made of aircraft-grade lightweight CNC aluminum. The filters attach magnetically to the front of your camera, which means they are easy to take on/off and change.
The Secrets of Optics
Each Freewell filter for the DJI Action 2 is made of 16 layers of premium multicoated optical glass. According to the company, the filters are scratch-resistant, dustproof, and oilproof. If that is not enough for you, they all come with a lifetime warranty, so you can be sure they won’t let you down.

Here is a quick list of the available filters:
- CPL filter
- UV filter
- ND filter from ND4 to ND1000
- NV filter, which stands for “Neutral Value”
You can purchase each filter individually, while two bundles are also available.

Bundles
The Freewell DJI Action 2 “standard day” bundle consists of four filters: ND8, ND16, ND32, and CPL.
And, a “bright day” package is also available that includes ND8/PL, ND16/PL, ND32/PL, and ND64/PL filters. These filters are only available within this package and can’t be purchased individually. ND/PL filters combine an ND filter and a CPL filter so you can get rid of and prevent unwanted reflections from windows, water, snow, and so on.
Price and availability
All filters are available for preorder now and will start shipping on November 15th. Single filters retail for $19.99 each, whereas the 4-pack bundles are $69.99.
