Godox KNOWLED P1200R Hard PRO & P600R Hard PRO Introduced - High Output, Hard Light

Godox has expanded their KNOWLED lineup with two high-output, hard-light RGB LED panels: the KNOWLED P1200R Hard PRO and P600R Hard PRO. These fixtures are built for professional productions, delivering powerful illumination, precision color control, and rugged weather resistance.

With IP65-rated durability, wide color temperature range, and high-speed flicker-free performance, they are designed to meet the demands of film, television, and commercial productions, whether on a controlled soundstage or in unpredictable outdoor environments.

Seems like you’ve seen these before, right? It’s not déjà vu. These are the updated PRO versions of the original Godox KNOWLED P600R & P1200R. We covered their launch last year. If you’re curious how they compare, check out the previous announcement.

We also brought you news of the P1200R Hard PRO from IBC 2024 back in September of last year. If you want a deeper dive, have a look at that article here.

Built to handle harsh environments

Filmmaking often means dealing with unpredictable conditions; not all lighting gear is designed to withstand the elements. The KNOWLED P1200R and P600R Hard PRO panels feature an IP65 rating, meaning they are fully protected from dust and water jets.

Rain on an outdoor set? No problem. Kicking up dust during a shoot? According to the company, these panels can handle it. Productions working in uncontrolled environments might not have to worry about their lights getting ruined by sudden weather changes.

This durability eliminates the need for makeshift protection measures like plastic bags, DIY covers, or last-minute tent setups—letting crews focus on the work rather than scrambling to shield their gear.

Full-color spectrum and high-precision color accuracy

Both models support a color temperature range from 1800K to 10,000K, making them adaptable to different lighting scenarios—from warm tungsten to cool daylight.

The CRI and TLCI ratings (96+ across the board) ensure that colors remain consistent and true-to-life, reducing post-production corrections. Adjustable green-magenta shift allows for fine-tuned control, making it easy to match other light sources on set.

Multiple control options

Godox includes multiple ways to control these lights, making them adaptable to different workflows:

  • DMX512 & RDM Protocol – For integration with professional lighting consoles
  • LumenRadio CRMX – Wireless DMX control, eliminating the need for additional transmitters
  • Bluetooth App Control – Adjust settings remotely via the Godox Light app
  • Onboard Controls – Intuitive physical controls for quick adjustments on the fly

Whether working with a large lighting team using DMX or a smaller crew making adjustments via mobile app, these options provide flexibility and ease of use.

Flicker-free performance for high-speed shoots

Shooting at high frame rates requires consistent, flicker-free lighting, which can be a challenge with some LED fixtures.

The KNOWLED P1200R Hard PRO features a high-speed mode, ensuring that output remains stable even at extreme frame rates. The P600R Hard PRO also provides flicker-free performance, making both lights reliable choices for slow-motion cinematography.
