Godox KNOWLED P1200R Hard Pro RGB LED Panel Explained
During IBC 2024, Godox presented a “Pro” version of their P1200R Hard RGB LED panel that was announced back in spring. The Godox KNOWLED P1200R Hard Pro has quite a long name, hinting at a quite long feature list. This 2×1′ LED panel is pretty bright, offers RGB and bi-color output, and comes equipped with various diffusion and light modifying options. All this is encased in a robust, IP53-rated chassis that should withstand the elements.
LED panels are quite popular across the industry. Straightforward and fairly easy to use, these are a common sight in many studios, either small or large. On the show floor at IBC 2024, we stopped by Godox’s booth to learn more about their newly announced Godox KNOWLED P1200R Hard Pro RGB LED panel from Lester Kamstra. Let’s take a quick look!
Godox KNOWLED P1200R Hard Pro – yes to all
The Godox KNOWLED P1200R Hard Pro is a 2×1′ RGB LED panel that seems to have it all. It’s pretty powerful and can be dimmed down to 0.1% of its maximum intensity. The light is flicker-free, so it shouldn’t interfere with slow-motion capture.
It supports six different operating modes, including CCT, HSI, RGBW, Gel, x/y, and Effects. The fixture is compatible with existing P1200R accessories—like removable softboxes and grids—and can be controlled in different ways. These include the onboard control on the back of the unit, DMX, CRMX, Bluetooth, or via a smartphone app. According to Lester, the light requires mains power to work.
