HDMI Field Monitor Review

The Marshall monitor’s enclosure is some sort of metal, probably aluminum. It feels very rugged.

Opinion:
To me this is the most safe feeling monitor enclosure in the test. Although not pressure resistant like the DP1 it feels like it could fall down and it would still work. I haven’t tested that of course.

There inputs are on the back of this device. Apart from hdmi it has composite and component connectors. All rca connectors have a bnc lock-in mechanism. For all of those inputs (not hdmi) there is also an output jack. This is very handy if you want to use more than one monitor on site, like for example your director wants to see the video too. Unfortunately it doesn’t provide that feature for hdmi. Alternatively you could also use a “splitter” to “split” the signal before it goes into the first monitor, but I haven’t tested that option yet.
