NANLITEがLEDライトパネルのラインナップを発表

NANLITE unveiled their PavoSlim LED panels. The lineup contains two main designs, each with RGBWW and Bi-color variants. The 60C and 120C have full RGBWW color, and the 60B and 120B come with bi-color LEDs. NANALITE claims that they can be deployed in under a minute, eliminating the tedious setup of some light mats.

During IBC 2023, NANLITE was kind enough to show us a working prototype of their new PavoSlim lights, and now, those lights are officially announced. NANLITE designed their new panels and claims they are more rugged than other lights on the market. Their metal housing delivers more rigidity while remaining lightweight, and this new design improves heat dissipation and efficiency. NANLITE claims that the result is a light that can achieve four times the output of its competitors.

PavoSlim video and behind-the-scenes

NANLITE did something I found interesting in their promotional video. They provided the behind-the-scenes shots for all of the setups. This is a great way to understand the results you can get from the lights and the process of rigging the fixtures. This reminds me of the recent Apple event that was shot on the iPhone. NANLITE did a solid job of showing us different models, color temperatures, camera rigs, and lenses. But, unlike Apple, the setups show off the lights on sets that are more akin to the scale of their customers. I’d like to see more manufacturers approach marketing this way and show us “both sides of the camera.”

PavoSlim 120C/120B

The NANLITE PavoSlim LED light panels 120C and 120B are the larger of the two (2×1). The 120C can reproduce the color of 151 “commonly used gels.” This enables the light to color-match another light on your set that uses a gel to modify the color output.

PavoSlim 60C/60B

The NANLITE PavoSlim LED light panel 60C/60B (1×1) is half the size of the 120C. Since these lights are smaller, they can be run on Sony NP-F batteries instead of the larger V-mount batteries for the 120C/B. The power supply unit features dual NP-F jacks making hot swapping possible.

The Nanlink App can control all of the lights in the system, wired DMX/RDM. The 60C/120C come with LumenRadio CRMX. This allows for wireless DMX/RDM reception.
