SHAPE が新世代クイックハンドルを発売
SHAPE introduced a new generation of their aluminum-made quick handles. They are available in three different lengths and come with push-button technology for quick and easy adjustment of the camera rig. Pricing starts at $900. We had the chance to talk to Nico Marchand from SHAPE on the show floor at the NAB in Las Vegas. So let’s have a closer look at the new handles.
Canadian manufacturer SHAPE has a long history of creating innovative rigging products that make filmmakers’ lives a bit easier. For example, recent product launches include a rigging solution for the Sony FX3 camera, the ARRI Dovetail Shoulder Mount with Hand15 handles, and a Swing-Away Matte Box that we reviewed.
SHAPE New Generation Quick Handles – features
The New Generation Quick Handles feature lightweight aluminum construction and come as a one-piece system. Gone are the days of assembly; now, you can effortlessly position the handles to your liking by simply pushing a button. Just push, adjust, release, and it’s locked again. It’s that simple.
The handles come as a pair and are compatible with ARRI rosettes. Attach them directly to the camera or other camera support hardware, and choose between three different lengths, depending on the length of your arms and whether you prefer to have the camera close to your body or further away.
- Small length: 10cm / 4″ length of the main section
- Medium length: 14cm / 5,5″ length of the main section
- Long length: 20,3cm / 8″ in length of the main section
These new handles with rubber handgrips come with a lifetime warranty and are one-third lighter than the previous versions. They can be seen as a next-generation re-design of an already very successful product and an upgrade that will stay with you as a camera operator for a very long time!
