Musicbed is one of the leading online music licensing platform for creators and filmmakers. Earlier this year we talked with them during NAB 2018 about their upcoming membership program. After months of work, the wait is finally over! Let’s take a look at what’s impressive with Musicbed Membership.
Musicbed is not a traditional royalty-free production library. Hundreds of premium quality songs are available on the platform from chart-topping, nation-touring artists from all over the world. The team handpicked thousands of songs since their launch back in 2011.
The result? One of the biggest, highest-quality music libraries on the market.
The licensing process to use Musicbed’s library was not easy. Also, it was often too expensive for personal projects, YouTube videos, or non-profit projects. To simplify everything, they started to think about a membership program two years ago. They are now finally launching it.
How Much Does Musicbed Membership Cost?
The membership pricing starts at $9.99 all the way up to $99.99. Different Membership options are available, including:
- YouTube/Creator: $9.99/month
- Non-Profit: $49.99/month
- Wedding/Photography: $79.99/month
- Freelance Filmmaker/Production Company: $99.99/month
- Business/In-House Team: $99.99/month
The YouTube/Creator Membership is pretty exciting. It gives you access to the entire music library with the ability to use unlimited music in your videos on Vimeo, YouTube, Patreon, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
These plans are paid monthly, for 12 months. If you want to save a bit, you can go for the pre-paid road with a one-time payment for the year.
In comparison, their per license pricing starts at $49.99. So if you are creating content more than twice a year, a subscription plan can save you some money.
Also great to know, even if your membership ends, your videos are still covered and you do not need to remove them.
Avoid YouTube Strikes with SyncID™
Musicbed developed a tool called SyncID™ that automatically clears your videos for monetization on YouTube once your channel is connected to the system. It is available for all Membership types and works flawlessly. All you have to do is generating a SyncID™ code and paste it into your video’s description (or the claims box). And you’re done.
For the YouTube/Creator Membership, you don’t need to do a thing. Once a copyright claim is received, SyncID™ will clear it automatically.
Musicbed Membership is already available, and you can subscribe and learn more by clicking here.
