Poll: Internal ND Filters in a Mirrorless – Would You Change Camera Brands?

Now that filming with mirrorless cameras is so common, we wondered how important it is for you guys to have an internal ND built into your camera.

It’s great to have matte boxes, but at times they are simply too big to add to the kit and rarely allow the flexibility and comfort that working with Vari NDs suggests (at the expense of filter quality). Vari NDs on the other hand are very useful and fast to operate in “run and gun” situations, but picture quality might suffer because of the way those filters are built.

In-camera built-in ND filter systems (be it mechanical or electronic) seem like a great solution and one that we have been requesting for years. So would you switch your mirrorless camera brand from A to B if a manufacturer, whose camera equipment you don’t currently own, were to provide this solution?
