SIRUI Mars 1.33x Anamorphic Lenses Available in Canon RF/L/FZ-Mounts via MTF Services

SIRUI Mars 1.33x anamorphic lenses were released in August this year, and MTF services have just released fully converted kits in either Canon RF, Panasonic L, and Sony FZ-Mounts. Let’s take a closer look at them!

The SIRUI Mars 1.33x anamorphic lenses are Cinema versions of the famous 24/35/50/75mm Stills versions that cover APS-C sensors. Unfortunately, at the moment, SIRUI Mars lenses are only available in Micro Four Thirds, Nikon Z, Canon EF-M, and Sony E-Mount.

Before we dive deeper, here is a quick reminder of the essential SIRUI Mars 1.33x anamorphic lenses features:

  • With a 16:9 image sensor, the SIRUI Mars 1.33x anamorphic lenses will give you a 2.4:1 cinematic widescreen vision
  • All lenses feature 0.8Mod built-in gears on both the focus and aperture ring
  • A long focus throw
  • There is a 1/4″-20 mounting point at the bottom of each lens for a lens support
  • The 35mm, 50mm and 75mm have a maximum T2 aperture, while the 24mm has a maximum aperture of T2.9
  • The front filter thread is 67mm

To make these SIRUI Mars lenses more versatile, English retailer/manufacturer MTF Services has just introduced converted versions in three flavors: Canon RF, Panasonic L, and Sony FZ-mount. This means that you’ll now be able to use these lenses with a Canon EOS C70 (Alongside other new popular EOS mirrorless cameras), RED Komodo, Panasonic S1/S5/S1H, or Sony F3/F5/F55 cinema camera.

However, these modified kits are not new for MTF Services, as the company did the same thing last year for the original SIRUI 1.33x anamorphic version.

Unfortunately, if you already purchased SIRUI Mars lenses on your own, you won’t be able to send your lenses to MTF Services for conversion. Instead, you’ll have to buy your lens set directly from MTF Services.

Price and availability

The MTF Services SIRUI Mars kits are available now for around €4470/$5170, which is €940/$1090 more compared to the regular MFT/Nikon-Z/Canon EF-M/Sony E-Mount versions.

For more information, please visit the MTF Services’ website.

What do you think about these converted lens kits? Did you already buy regular SIRUI anamorphic lenses? Have you shot with SIRUI 1.33x anamorphic lenses yet? Don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments down below!
