SmallRig camera cage for DJI Osmo Action 3 – overview

A cage is necessary for an action cam when used in tough shooting situations like skateboarding, on a mountain bike, or attached to a car. Consequently, SmallRig designed the new form-fitting cage for the DJI Osmo Action 3 camera quite ergonomically, so you can easily secure and release the camera via a small press lock on top. Additionally, it gives you full access to all buttons and allows you to apply a screen protector on the back. The cage is made of durable aluminum and adds only an extra weight of 93 g / 3.3 oz to your camera.

One of the most useful functions of the cage is the magnetic side door, which allows you to access the battery easily without removing the cage. A cold shoe mount at the top and multiple 1/4″- 20 thread holes on three sides are available for attaching additional accessories.

The left side of the cage allows you to attach the wireless DJI Mic, turning the DJI Osmo Action 3 into a perfect vlogging camera setup.

The magnetic mounts on the bottom and right side support the original magnetic quick-release adapter for quick switching between horizontal and vertical modes.
