Tilta, manufacturer of all kinds of camera accessories, has just launched yet another handy camera rigging accessory for the FUJIFILM X-H2 and X-H2S mirrorless cameras. The new Tilta Camera Cage can be ordered as a stand-alone cage or as a pre-configured Basic Kit.
Like all camera cages on the market, the new Tilta cage offers a range of mounting ports that let you attach even more gear to your X-H2 (or X-H2S), as well as nifty features like an included mounting rail and other features you might like.
Check out our coverage about these cameras here: FUJIFILM X-H2 (news article | review), X-H2S (news article | review | Lab Test).
But of course, there’s no such thing as the one perfect cage that fits all, so you’ll need to look closely at these (and other) options to find the perfect solution for your needs.

Tilta Camera Cage for X-H2 & X-H2S
This Tilta camera cage for the latest FUJIFILM X-H2 and X-H2S cameras (they share the same body design) features a full cage design that naturally protects your valuable camera. It also features numerous 1/4″-20 mounting points (with and without locating pins), a cold shoe, an M3 mounting point, and even an ARRI Rosette mount on the side.

The cage provides free access to the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera, it includes a screwdriver, which is very handy indeed, and the bottom plate also serves as an Arca Swiss compatible baseplate. This allows you to mount the camera directly on a DJI Ronin gimbal, for example, without the need for adapter plates.

To hold the host camera securely, the cage is attached with not one but two screws. This prevents the camera from coming loose in the cage. Lastly, the cage offers two Nato rails for attaching additional gear to your setup.
Tilta Camera Cage Basic Kit
If you have just bought a FUJIFILM X-H2 camera and really need all the accessories, you might want to consider not only the camera cage itself but the so-called Basic Kit: It consists of the above-mentioned Tilta camera cage plus a handle, a Manfrotto-style quick-release plate and a lens adapter mount.

Of course, that’s not the end of the journey, as Tilta offers a whole ecosystem for its mounting solutions. You can add additional Nato rails, 15mm rod holders, side handles, etc. to your setup as you see fit.

Pricing and availability
The Tilta Camera Cage for FUJIFILM X-H2 and X-H2S cameras is available now, and you can buy it for $99 (right now it’s on sale for $89.10). The Basic Kit sells for $119 (again, on sale now for $107.10).
