Tilta Portable Charging Station for Camera Batteries with USB-C Introduced
Tilta has introduced the Portable Charging Station for Sony NP-FZ100, NP-FW50 batteries as well as new models for Panasonic, Nikon, and FUJIFILM batteries to reduce on-set clutter. The Portable Charging Station will power up to four batteries simultaneously. Nino had the opportunity to connect with the Tilta team at NAB 2025 and get a hands-on look.
Camera batteries are perhaps not the most exciting part of every filmmaker’s gear kit, but they are indeed essential. While the safest option is to buy original battery packs from our camera manufacturer, third-party options have been constantly getting better. Let’s take a quick look at the new charger and camera batteries from Tilta.
Tilta’s Portable Charging Station simplifies charging
This recently announced charger seeks to tame the chaos of charging all your camera batteries in the field. It isn’t uncommon for camera chargers to only take up to two batteries at a time, and many chargers charge them one at a time (sequentially). Tilta’s charger will charge all four batteries in about 3 hours. This requires that you connect its USB-C cable to a charger that can provide 45 watts of power, which you will need to provide.

It also features indicator lights to monitor charging progress. Tilta’s NP-F style batteries can be charged without a standalone charger by connecting them via USB-C.

Compatibility
The Tilta Portable Charging Station was initially announced for both Sony NP-FZ100 and NP-FW50 batteries, but the company now released models that support all major camera manufacturers – Nikon, Panasonic, Canon, and FUJIFILM with a focus on smaller camera bodies. We’ll see both portable chargers and batteries from Tilta for these brands.
- Panasonic DMW-BLK22
- FUJIFILM NP-W235
- Nikon EN-EL15
- Sony NP-W235
- Sony Np-FZ100

On the positive side, you can see from the top view that it does charge two different kinds of Sony batteries. Tilta makes both styles, the NP-FZ100 (2400mAh) and NP-FW50 (980mAh) or other camera brands as well.

The good thing is that these are four-channel chargers, so the inserted batteries should fill up fairly quickly.

Thankfully, the batteries themselves have a USB-C input so they can also be charged without the charger if needed.
Price and availability
The Tilta Portable Charging Station currently retails for $26.10 and should be shipping this month. For more information, visit Tilta’s website.
