Vaxis recently released a series of aluminum camera body caps: the Vaxis AMARANTH. These camera body caps are available in Sony E-Mount, Canon EF and RF mounts, as well as PL mount. Let’s take a closer look at them!
Chinese company Vaxis is mostly known for making affordable wireless video transmitter systems like the ATOM 500, the ATOM 500 SDI, or more recently the ATOM 600 KV for the RED KOMODO.
The company recently released a new and somewhat unusual kind of product: an aluminum camera body cap called the Vaxis AMARANTH.

Vaxis AMARANTH – Features
Let me make something clear: aluminum camera body caps are not a new thing (nor necessary, but hey, they look cool and classy!), and various options from Kondor Blue, LockCircle, or GDU are already available on the market.
Philip Bloom's Cinematic Masterclass

The Vaxis AMARANTH are CNC machined anti-dust/scratch/vibration camera body caps entirely made from aluminum. They feature a loophole if you want to attach a lanyard to it.

At the moment, four lens mount options are available: Canon RF, Canon EF, Sony E, and PL mount. All camera body caps are grey, but the cap center has a different color depending on the lens mount.
What’s nice with aluminum camera body caps is that they’ll last you a lifetime, they are easy to clean compared to plastic ones, and the ninja star shape of the Vaxis AMARANTH should make operations smooth and easy even with gloves on.

Price and availability
The Vaxis AMARANTH camera body caps for either lens mount are available now in limited supplies for $38.00.
