Zacuto has just announced the Zacuto Z-Finder for the Canon EOS C400, an optical viewfinder with 2.5x magnification, a diopter wheel with a -2.5 to 0 range for focusing, and a locking cap for use with the camera’s articulating monitor mount. The company is also releasing the Zacuto Z-Finder Frame for the new camera. The Z-Finder for the Canon EOS C400 is an optical viewfinder offering 2.5x magnification of the camera’s LCD monitor, helping filmmakers to frame and focus quickly. Its design is specific for the Canon camera and features a diopter wheel with a -2.5 to 0 range for focusing. The viewfinder includes an extender for farsighted use, which can be used with the included drop-in diopters for further correction. The locking cap allows the use of the Z-Finder with the camera’s articulating monitor mount. Finally, the weight of the viewfinder is 3 lb / 1.4 kg.

On the other hand, the new Zacuto frame for the Canon EOS C400 is compatible with the popular Z-Finder Pro 2.5x. Installed on the camera’s LCD monitor, the frame includes a locking cap and Rosette Mount. It can also be attached to the camera’s articulating arm mount or used with the Axis Mini or Axis Micro. 

Price and availability

The Z-Finder for the Canon EOS C400 retails for $595, and the Z-Finder Frame is also available for preorder at $261.25.
